It is with great sorrow that the family of Isabel Laura Dominix of Lunenburg, announces her passing on November 6th, 2014, surrounded by loved ones, at the South Shore Regional Hospital. Isabel was born in Stonehurst but spent most of her life in Lunenburg. In her younger years, the door was always open and the table always set for those who needed a place to stay. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and auntie. All those who knew her could easily see how important family was in her life. Even in her final days, the presence of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren brought her extreme pleasure and enjoyment. Isabel was predeceased by husband George, son Vernon, sisters Edna, Elva, Alice and Florence, brothers George, Gordon, Dawson, and Allan. Isabel will be greatly missed by daughter, Penny McDonald (Peter Zwicker) of Lunenburg, N.S.; son, Dale (Joan) Dominix of Courtenay, B.C.; daughter-in-law, June Dominix, of Whitehorse, YT; grandchildren; Darren, Nicole, Tabatha, Jennifer and Kelly; great grand children, Madison, Jordan, Fallon, and Morgan, as well as her nieces and nephews. Her memory will continue to warm our hearts and remind us of what is truly important in life for years to come. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Dana L. Sweeny Funeral Home, 11213 Hwy. # 3, Lunenburg where a service to celebrate Isabel’s life will be held Thursday, November 13, 2014 at 2:00 pm Rev. Grace Caines-Corkum, officiating. Interment will be in Upper Blue Rocks Cemetery, Blue Rocks.
