Margaret Miller Obituary

Margaret A. “Margie” Miller, 91, of Karthaus, passed away on Thursday, October 30, 2014 at Mount Nittany Medical Center. Born on April 9, 1923, in Clarence, she was the daughter of the late George S. & Elizabeth A. Puhalla Dubesky. On January 19, 1948, in Maryland, she married Reese M. Miller, who passed away on September 17, 1994. Margie was 1941 graduate of Snow Shoe High School. She was a member of the St. Mary’s of the Assumption Catholic Church in Frenchville. She was employed at Piper Aircraft, retiring in 1974. Margie enjoyed reading, playing bingo, playing dice, cooking, baking, doing crossword puzzles, going for walks and family gatherings. She loved sitting on her porch swing Margie is survived by her two daughters; Maryann Graue and her husband Thomas of Tucson, AZ, and Margaret Joan Benton and her fiancé, Thomas Kornman, of Linesville, PA., one brother, Edward Dubesky of Parma, OH, three sisters; Elizabeth Rolley of Karthaus, Ann Lyter of Lancaster, and Ethel Renaud of Harrisburg. Also surviving is her son in law, Kenneth Hugar, Jr of Keewaydin, eight grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren. Along with her parents and husband, Margie was preceded in death by her daughter, Carol Hugar and three brothers, John, Paul, and George. Visitation will be on Sunday, November 2, 2014 from 6-8pm with a rosary service at 7:45pm at the Daughenbaugh Funeral Home, 106 W. Sycamore St, Snow Shoe, PA. Funeral Mass will be on Monday, November 3, 2014 at 11am at St. Mary’s of the Assumption Catholic Church in Frenchville with Father David A. Perry officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary’s of the Assumption Catholic Cemetery in Frenchville. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the St. Mary’s Catholic Church, PO Box 159, Frenchville, PA 16836. Arrangements have been entrusted to Daughenbaugh Funeral Home, 106 W.
