Kathleen Ann (Templin) Finsterbush Owen, affectionately known as Kit, 61, of Middletown, passed away Thursday, October 30, 2014, in the West Shore Hospital with her family by her side. Born in Hershey on February 26, 1953, she was the daughter of the late Claude Templin, Sr. and Blanche Burkett Templin. Kit worked for PHEAA in the clerical department and was also a ticket taker for Hershey Entertainment for over 15 years. She was a 1971 graduate of Hershey High School. Kit enjoyed colleting owls and snowmen, but her entire life was dedicated to her children and grandchildren. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt. She will be truly missed by her family and friends. Kit is survived by her loving husband of 11 years, Malcolm Owen, whom she married on April 21, 2003; a son, Edward Finsterbush, Jr. and Rachel of Lower Swatara Township; a daughter, Jodi Jackson and David also of Lower Swatara Township; three brothers, Claude “Bud” Templin, Jr. and Dawn of Hummelstown, David Templin of Palmyra, and Michael Templin of Middletown; six grandchildren, Eddie Finsterbush III, Kyle “Bubba” Finsterbush, Kayla Finsterbush, Gabby Jackson, Noah Jackson, and Christian Finsterbush; and her beloved dachshunds, Molly and Rosie. In addition to her parents, Kit was preceded in death by her first husband, Edward Finsterbush, Sr.; and two sons, Robbie and Tommy Finsterbush. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, November 6, 2014, at 11 AM in the Trefz & Bowser Funeral Home, Inc., 114 West Main Street, Hummelstown. Interment will be in Hillsdale Cemetery, Londonderry Township. Friends will be received for the viewings in the funeral home on Wednesday, November 5, 2014, from 6 to 8 PM, and Thursday from 10 AM until time of the service.
