Rev. Jerrold Lee Gilyard went home to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on 10-28-14. He was born & raised in Wooster, OH to the late Mack Gilyard & Naomi Tarpley Gilyard Starks. He served as an Associate Pastor at New Millennium Baptist Church in Akron, OH & also at Christ Memorial Baptist Church in Columbus, OH. He is preceded in death by his father, mother, two brothers,John & Joseph Gilyard; & nephew, Wesley Gilyard. He leaves to cherish his memory his daughter, Passion "Baby Boo" Davis; Passion's mother, Tracy Smith Gilyard; sisters, Joette Gilyard of Columbus, and Janlyn (Danny) Anthony of Richmond, VA, and Melissa Turner of Wooster, OH; brothers, Isaac Gilyard of St. Louis, MO, and Tomeckia Barnhill of Wooster, OH; stepsons, Latrell & Brett Wilson of Akron, OH; stepfather, John Starks of Akron, OH; six grandchildren, a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins & special friends in Columbus OH: Donald & Carolyn Stinson & Elma Lee ; Louis & DeCarol Guillford of Atlanta, GA. Funeral service Monday 11am at Christ Memorial Missionary Baptist Church, 3330 E. Livingston Ave Columbus, OH, where the family will receive friends 10am until the time of service. Interment Glen Rest Memorial Estate.
