Hilda R. Cooper, age 82, 408 Levelin Street, Erwin, passed away Wednesday, October 29, 2014, in the Select Specialty Hospital, Bristol, TN. Mrs. Cooper was a lifelong resident of Unicoi County and a daughter of the late John and Jessie Tapp Robertson. She retired from Industrial Garment after twenty-nine years of service. Mrs. Cooper was a member of the Centenary United Methodist Church. Other than her parents, she was predeceased by a sister, Jeanette Elfrank and a brother, John Robertson, Jr. Mrs. Cooper leaves behind to cherish her memory, two sons, Joseph Van Cooper of Johnson City and Don A. Cooper, Jr. of Columbus, GA; three sisters, Carolyn Allen and Kate Banner and husband, Bill, all of Erwin; Jane Farr of Sparta, NC; a number of nieces, nephews and one special baby, Caira. Graveside service for Mrs. Cooper will be held at 2:00 P. M. Friday, October 31. 2014, in the Evergreen Cemetery. Reverend Bill Ponder will officiate.
