Maxine T. Jauregui, 79, of Decatur, IN died on Thursday, October 23, 2014. Maxine was born on November 17, 1934 in Littleton, Maine to the late Elbridge and Hazel (Wiley) Elliott. On September 15, 1954, she married Joseph R. Jauregui. Maxine was a member of St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church and the Women of St. Mary’s. She was also a member of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary. Survivors include her husband of 60 years Joseph R. Jauregui of Decatur; 3 sons, Rick A. (Nan) Jauregui, Steve E. (Kathy) Jauregui, and Matthew E. (Becky) Jauregui; 2 daughters, Denise M. (Dennis) Johnson and Linda J. (Tony) Beer, all of Decatur; 14 granchildren & 5 great grandchildren Maxine was preceded in death by 2 sisters and 2 brothers. Visitation will be on Sunday, October 26, 2014 from 12:00 – 4:00 p.m. at Haggard-Sefton & Hirschy Funeral Home with a recitation of the Holy Rosary at 4:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, October 27, 2014 at St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church with visitation 1 hour prior in the St. Mary’s Parish Hall. Officiating will be Father David Voors and inurnment will be in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery at a later date. Memorials may be made to St. Joseph Catholic School or Family Life Care.
