Anna Mae Swabick

Anna Mae K. Swabick, 88, of Snow Shoe, passed away on Saturday, October 18, 2014, at Centre Crest Nursing Home in Bellefonte. Born on November 18, 1925, in Bellefonte, she was the daughter of the late Michael & Anna Bonchack Coslo. On September 30, 1950, in Bellefonte, she married Andrew J. Swabick, Jr. Andrew passed away on August 5, 2009. Anna Mae was a 1942 graduate of Bellefonte High School. She was a member of the Queen of Archangel Roman Catholic Parish Chapel in Snow Show. She was a homemaker. Anna Mae was a past member of the Altar and Rosary Society and the VFW Ladies Auxiliary in Snow Shoe. She was an excellent cook, enjoyed gardening, and watching game shows on TV. She adored her cats. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family. Anna Mae is survived by her children; Gregg M. Swabick and his wife, Charmaine, of Moshannon, Bill A. Swabick and his wife, Shelly, of Clarence, David A. Swabick and his wife, Pamela, of Tyrone, and Doreen E. Bucha and her husband, Francis, of Snow Shoe. Also surviving are her four grandchildren, David, Matthew, Loranna, Andy, and Mason, and one great grandchild, Abigail Rose Swabick. Along with her parents and husband, Anna Mae was preceded in death by a great granddaughter, Elizabeth Ann Swabick, three brothers, and seven sisters. Visitation will be on Monday, October 20, 2014 from 6-8pm with a rosary service at 7:45pm at the Daughenbaugh Funeral Home, 106 W. Sycamore St. Snow Shoe. Funeral Mass will be on Tuesday, October 21, 2014, at 11am at the Queen of Archangel Roman Catholic Parish Chapel in Snow Shoe with Father Mark Reid officiating. Burial will follow at St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery in Snow Shoe. Memorial contributions can be made to PAWS 1401 Trout Rd., State College, PA 16801. Arrangements have been entrusted to Daughenbaugh Funeral Home, 106 W. Sycamore St. Snow Shoe.
