Bessie Peterson

Bessie Conley Peterson, age 74, of Erwin passed away Thursday, October 16, 2014, in the Johnson City Medical Center. She was a daughter of the late Charles W. and Sarah Woodby Conley and had lived most of her life in Unicoi County and Washington County. She was a homemaker. Other than her parents, Mrs. Peterson was predeceased by three brothers, C. W., John, and George Conley. She is survived by a son, Terry Peterson of Johnson City; one brother, Bill Conley and wife, Sandy, of Johnson City; four sisters, Sarah Jane Miller, Ida Louise Bryant and husband, Gene; Betty Pate and husband, Bill; and Thelma Kate Conley, all of Johnson City; two grandchildren, Nathan Peterson and Kayla Peterson. Several nieces and nephews also survive. A Memorial Service for Mrs. Peterson will be held Monday, October 20,2014, at 7:00 P. M. from the King Springs Baptist Church. Reverend Jerry Cornett will officiate. The family will receive friends from 6:00 P. M. to 7:00 P. M. prior to the service.
