Elizabeth Pecano Obituary

Elizabeth (Betsy) Pecano, 63, of Neshannock Township, passed away the afternoon of October 16, 2014 at Jameson Memorial Hospital. Born April 18, 1951 in New Castle, she was the daughter of the late Glen and Hope Tindall. On May 7, 1977, she married her beloved husband, John R. Pecano, and the two spent 33 wonderful years together until he preceded her in death on January 5, 2011.


After more than 29 years of working, Elizabeth retired as the Human Resource Director for Sears in New Castle. A devout member of St. Camillus Church who was strong in her faith, she was the church’s organist for many years. Elizabeth loved music and animals. She will always be remembered as a loving wife and mother and will be missed by all who knew her.


Elizabeth is survived by her son, John G. Pecano of Boardman, OH, mother-in-law, Virginia Pecano of New Castle, and sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Andrea and Henry Bucci of Atlanta, GA.


Visitation will take place Monday from 5:00pm to 8:00pm at Ed and Don DeCarbo Funeral Home and Crematory 3000 Wilmington Rd.


A procession will leave the funeral home Tuesday at 9:30am to attend a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00am at St. Camillus Church, officiated by Father Thomas Lewandowski of Christ the Light of the World Parish of Duquesne, PA.


Interment will take place in Castleview Memorial Gardens.
