Josephine Frasso, 98, of New Castle, passed away the afternoon of October 12, 2014 in Golden Hill Nursing Home. Born on April 13, 1916 in New Castle, she was the daughter of the late John and Mary Marcell. On June 27, 1934, she married her beloved husband, Frank Frasso, and the two spent 65 wonderful years together until he preceded her in death on January 4, 2000.

Josephine retired from her job as a banquet waitress for the New Castle Country Club and Troggio’s Restaurant. She belonged to St. Vitus Church. She loved cooking, baking, and crocheting, but her greatest joy came from spending time with her family.

Josephine is survived by her children, Anthony Frasso and wife Grace Jean of Hillsville, PA, Mary Lee Feo of Boardman, OH, Stella Magusiak and husband Stanley of New Castle, and James Frasso and wife Leigh of Mooresville, NC; thirteen grandchildren; and eleven great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by her grandson, Joseph Feo; great-grandchildren, Jessica, Avery, and infant twins; brothers, John, Frank, and James Marcell; sisters, Anna Dangio and Theresa Marcell; and son-in-law, Tony Feo.

A Mass of Christian Burial was conducted Wednesday at St. Vitus Church, officiated by Father Frank Almade. Interment took place at St. Vitus Cemetery.
