Frank was born on November 13, 1952 in Pine Ridge, SD to Frank Jayrold Bettelyoun Sr. and Gladys Iron Elk-Bettelyoun. He Journeyed to the Spirit World on October 11, 2014 in Peoria, IL. People left to mourn Frank are his six brothers; Jed (Caroline) Bettelyoun of Batesland, SD, Larry and Roger (Marlena) Bettelyoun of Wanblee, SD, Ned and John Bettelyoun both of Kadoka, SD, and Doyle Bettelyoun of Sioux Falls, SD His four sisters; Charlotte Bettelyoun and Angie (Harris) Eisenbraun of Kadoka, SD, Irene (Ron) Duke of Allen, SD and Doris Bettelyoun of Winner, SD His only grandchild McKenzie Becker Bettelyoun of Hill City, SD; also his many relatives and friends. Frank was preceded in death by his father and mother; two brothers, Randy and Irvin; and his only child, Frank “Yamni” Bettelyoun III.
