Josephine Jackson

Josephine L. Jackson, age 90, 606 Lyle Road, Erwin, passed away peacefully Friday, October 10, 2014, in the Unicoi County Memorial Hospital, Erwin. She was a native of Speedwell, Virginia, and had lived most of her life in Unicoi County. Mrs. Jackson had worked at the former Savings Center and the Southern Pottery. She was a member of the First Christian Church of Erwin. Other than her parents, Mrs. Jackson was preceded in death by her husband, Carl N. Jackson in 2003 and twelve brothers and sisters. Mrs. Jackson leaves behind to cherish her memory, a daughter, Suzanne Jackson Brackins of Unicoi; three grandchildren, Russell David Brackins, III, and wife, Sarah of Johnson City; Tyler Jackson Brackins, Johnson City; and Carl Reese Brackins of the home. Several Nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral service will be held at 7:00 P. M. Sunday, October 12, 2014, from the Unicoi Funeral Home Chapel. Dr. Todd Edmondson will officiate. The family will receive friends from 5:00 P. M. to the hour of service. Music will be provided by Inez Chandler. Those wishing to attend the Entombment service are requested to assemble at the Unicoi Funeral Home by 9:30 A. M. Monday to go in procession to the Roselawn Memory Gardens for the 10:00 A.
