<p>PEREIRA (Lobo), Marie Clare - </p><p>Peacefully passed away at William Osler (Etobicoke General) Hospital on October 10th, 2014 at the age of 98. Beloved wife of the late Albert Pereira (October 9th, 1995), loving mother of Sebastian, Corinne, Marilyn (Patrick) Correa and Albert. Amazing grandmother to Neil (Samreen) and Candice (Vancouver) and even more amazing great-grandmother to Maira and Sarina. Dearest sister to Rev. Fr. Joseph Lobo (deceased), Rev. Br. Augustus Lobo (deceased) and Edmund (Barbara) Lobo, sadly missed by all members of the Pereira and Lobo families. Marie was a teacher in Karachi, Pakistan at St. Patrick’s high school and St. Joseph’s convent for over 50 years, and one of the hallmarks of Marie was her ability to recognize the inherent talents in her students. She was loved and highly respected by her students and was considered an iconic teacher at St. Pats. Following her immigration to Canada in 1979 she was very active in numerous seniors clubs. Besides spending time with her loved ones, she enjoyed doing cross words, playing bingo, watching tennis and thoroughly enjoyed her chocolates. She always kept herself challenged by engaging in learning new things including how to use a computer at the age of 85. Her gentle demeanour, graceful poise and calm remarks were appreciated by everyone around her. Resting at the NEWEDIUK FUNERAL HOME, KIPLING CHAPEL, 2058 Kipling Avenue, (North of Rexdale Blvd.), Tuesday from 2pm to 4pm and 6pm to 9pm. Funeral Mass at Transfiguration of Our Lord Church, 45 Ludstone Drive, on Wednesday, October 15, 2014 at 10:30am. Interment Queen of Heaven Cemetery.
