HIGNETT: John David March 16, 1938 – October 8, 2014 It is with great sadness his family announces the passing of John Hignett, aged 76 years, of Imperial, Saskatchewan. John was born March 16, 1938 in Stalwart. In 1964 he married his wife Deanna. They lived between Imperial and Stalwart and farmed west of Stalwart. In 2004 John semi-retired and rented out his farmland. He will be remembered for raising five sons. He loved to garden, show others his cattle and solve Sudoko puzzles. John is survived by his wife Deanna; sons Harry (Joyce), Doug (Lisa), John (Shawna), Dean and Charles (Lindsay); grandchildren Marshal, Davis, Kelsey, Austin, Jonathan, Breann, Mark, Payton, Ryder and Nash. John was predeceased by his parents (Rose and Harry) and sisters Madge (Art Zirk) and Gladys (Henry Deutch). Also by sisters-in-law Verne (Trevor Nordholm) and Mary Dorma. John was also survived by his brothers-in-law Bill (Sarah) Dorma, Cliff Dorma, Stewart (Lydia) Dorma, Stanley (Bev) Dorma and Victor (Kathy) Dorma; sisters-in-law Agnes (Ernie) Howlett, Marg Dorma (Lance Houston) and Joan (Guy) Standing; and many cousins, nieces and nephews. The Funeral Service will be held in Imperial Community Centre, Imperial, Saskatchewan on Saturday, October 11th at 2:00 p.m. Interment in Imperial Cemetery.
