Betty I. Fager, 93, of Decatur died on Monday, October 6, 2014 at St. Anne Home in Fort Wayne. Betty was born on December 15, 1920 in Adams County, IN to the late Floyd B. and Esther L. (Binz) Hunter. She married Ray W. Fager on September 27, 1957. He preceded her in death on March 13, 1995. Betty was a member of Zion United Church of Christ and the Women’s Guild. She was a past President of Psi Iota Xi Sorority and also worked for Adams County Memorial Hospital in Medical Records Dept. for 20 years. She is survived by her sons Joseph H. (Anna) McNerney of Elkhart, IN and Ray W. (Sheri) Fager of Angola, IN and; a daughter Leanne M. Fager of Ft. Wayne, IN; a sister Phyllis Acheson Lehrman of Decatur, IN; 4 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, a daughter, Linda Jean McNerney and a brother, Robert Hunter. Visitation will be from 11:00-1:00 p.m. on Friday, October 10, 2014 at Haggard-Sefton & Hirschy Funeral Home. Funeral service will follow at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Randy Rossman officiating. Burial will be in Decatur Cemetery. Memorials are to Zion United Church of Christ.
