James Marvin Lloyd, age 59 of Manistee, died Sunday October 5, 2014 at Spectrum Health Blodgett Hospital in Grand Rapids. He was born June 17, 1955 in Ludington the son of James Gabriel and Corrine Joyce (Arkin) Lloyd. He graduated from Manistee High School Class of 1973. On April 2, 1993, Jim married Marie Rose Bradley in Las Vegas, Nevada. He was employed for 37 years at Morton Salt Company in Manistee and had served as past President and Chief Steward of United Steelworkers of America, Local 2-00667 He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and seeing Clydesdale horses since he raised them in his earlier years. He especially loved spending time with his wife, children and grandchildren. He is survived by his wife, Marie Lloyd of Manistee; sons, George (Abigail) Lloyd of Canton, James Lloyd (Libby Kramer) of Prairie Village, Kansas and Adam Stamp of Lansing; daughter, Jennifer (Shawn) Tomey of Manistee; mother, Corrine Lloyd of Manistee; brother, Mark (Holly) Lloyd and sister, Vonnie (Al) Bufka both of Manistee; and grandchildren, Quenten & Maisy Lloyd, Isaiz & Mathew Tomey, Nora Lloyd and Alexandria Patterson. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive. He was preceded in death by his father, James G. Lloyd. Cremation has taken place and final interment will be in Grant Township Cemetery where private graveside services will be held.
