Julia Polen

Julia Wnek Polen, 75, of Winchester, died Sunday, October 5, 2014, at her home. Mrs. Polen was born December 2, 1938 in Wheelwright, KY; the daughter of the late Joseph Wnek and Elva Morris Wnek. She was a bookkeeper and worked for several different companies through the years. She married Curtis Lee Polen Sr. on July 12, 1958 in Hyattsville, MD. Along with her husband Julia is survived by one son, Curtis Polen Jr. and his wife Maria Brunett of Montgomery Village, MD; a daughter Carol Polen and her husband Don Rybarczyk of Richmond; two brothers John Wnek and his wife Madilee of Manassas, VA and Jimmy Wnek of Wheelwright, KY; and two grandchildren who were the light of her life, Nicole Polen and Alexandra Polen. She is preceded in death by two sisters, Anna Lou Osbourne and Magnolia Needles. A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 10, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. at the Jones Funeral Home Chapel in Winchester with Rev. William White officiating, the family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in Stonewall Memory Gardens, Manassas, VA on Saturday at 12:00.
