Waneta Lange

Waneta June Lange Waneta June Lange, age 81 of Ludington passed away on Friday October 3, 2014 at home surrounded by her family. She was born on June 10, 1933 in Boyne City, MI, daughter of the late James and Osta (Harvey) Phillips. Waneta married Kenneth Lange on January 17, 1948 in Ludington. He preceded her in death on October 10, 2001. Waneta worked at the Salvation Army and Dorrell Funeral Home. She was a Corps. member of the Salvation Army and a member of the Ladies Home League of the Salvation Army. She loved her family, especially her grandchildren and enjoyed going to yard sales. Waneta is survived by her 6 daughters, Janice (Tracy) Bothwell of Scottville, Sheila (Robert Dettman) Lange of Hart, Marsha (William) Rafter of Fountain, Tamy Lange of Ludington, Melody Dawn (Brian) Walworth of Chase and Kendra Lange-Sherwood of Ludington; sister, Edna (Walter) Fargo of Ludington; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Kenneth; 7 sisters; and one brother. Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held at 11:00AM on Wednesday October 8, 2014 at Oak Grove Funeral Home with John Bergh officiating. The family will receive friends for visitation from 10:00AM until time of service. Final interment will follow at Lakeview Cemetery in Ludington.
