Alice Zalewski

Alice Jane Zalewski age 70 of Pentwater passed away on Wednesday September 24, 2014 at Spectrum Health Ludington Hospital. She was born on November 25, 1943 in Ravenna, MI the daughter of Glen and Lucille (Hoffman) Bromley, Sr. Alice attended Pentwater High School graduating with the class of 1962. She married James Zalewski on June 8, 1963 at St. Joseph Weare Church in Hart, MI and they had two children Scott and Brenda Lee Zalewski. Alice and Jim welcomed into their family Wanda (Baker) and granddaughter Shyanna when she married Scott. Scott and Wanda would visit often and everyone fished together. Brenda Lee married Karl Blamer and they had Megan which was a delight to Alice and Jim. Alice was a homemaker and enjoyed being a school mom for activities that took place for both of her children. She also enjoyed music and crafting projects as well as cake baking and decorating along with floral arranging. Alice was a yard sale activist to the 10th degree. She is survived by her husband of 51 years, James F. Zalewski; son, Scott (Wanda) Zalewski; daughter, Brenda (Karl) Blamer; granddaughters, Shyanna & Megan; brothers, Leon (Denise) Bromley and John (Jo) Bromley; sisters, Sandra (Daniel) Lovell, Karen (Ken) Riddle, Debra (Brian) Flood and Sharon (Kurt) VandenHeuvel; several nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, Ada (Art) Saily, and Romaine Freeland. Cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life for Alice will be held at 12:00 Noon on Saturday October 4, 2014 at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses at 147 S. Stiles Road, Ludington MI.
