Norma “Sophie” Morgan was born on April 5, 1928 in Pine Ridge, SD to Jim and Annie (Mesteth) Colhoff. Sophie passed away on September 24, 2014 at the Golden Living Center in Rapid City, SD. Sophie is survived by her daughters, Colleen (Paul) Frank of Rapid City, SD and Lisa Schrader of Pine Ridge, SD; sons, Don (Leisa) Morgan of Fond Du Loc, WI, Ben Brewer, Patrick Brewer, Jude Dillon, and Cpl. James “Jim” Albert Colhoff all of Pine Ridge, SD, Tony Fresquez and Neil Short Bull both of Rapid City, SD; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; and numerous nieces and nephews. Sophie was preceded in death by her spouse, Duane Morgan; son, James “Jives” Colhoff; daughter, Leslie Birch; sister, Vestana Colhoff; and brothers, Ira “Gus” Colhoff, Verdell Colhoff, Herb Colhoff, Gerald Colhoff, and Donald Colhoff.
