LeRoy Duane Dent, age 51, 218 North Willow Avenue, Erwin, was fatally injured in a motorcycle accident Friday, September 19, 2014, on the Sciota Road, Unicoi. He was a native of Marshalltown, Iowa, and had lived in Unicoi County most of his life. Mr. Dent was a son of Dale Dent of Iowa and the late Phyllis May Curry Dent. Other than his mother, he was preceded in death by a son. Other than his father, he is survived by his wife, Gala Dent; a son, LeRoy "Bubba" Dent and wife, Amy of Unicoi; a daughter, Kristy Marie Ramsey and husband, Johnny of Erwin; one step-son, Andrew Hoyle of Unicoi; four step-daughters, Sabrina White and husband, T. J., Amanda Cooper and husband, Nathan, Kimber Hoyle, and Brandy Ross, all of Erwin; a brother, Butch Dent and twin sister, Anna Dent, both of Marshalltown, Iowa. Eleven grandchildren, one nephew and one great niece also survive. Mr. Dent requested his remains be cremated and no memorial service will be held.
