Dorothy V. D’Ambrocia, 93, of E. Friendship Street; formerly of N. Canton, OH passed away the morning of September 18, 2014 in Jameson Hospital.

She was born April 22, 1921 in New Castle and was the daughter of the late Paul and Victoria Fazzone DeCarbo. In 1940 she married her husband, Joseph P. D’Ambrocia. He preceded her in death in 1978.

Mrs. D’Ambrocia had worked as a secretary for Coca Cola Bottling. She also loved being a homemaker and taking care of her home. She enjoyed gardening and was also a seamstress.

She is survived by one sister, Pauline M. Dambrocia of New Castle; nephew, Dr. Joseph Dambrocia; niece, Mary Ellen Penwell; great niece, Kelly Penwell Baronick and is also survived by several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Victoria Jean D’Ambrocia and two sisters, Jeannette C. Cubellis and Charlotte DeCarbo.

Visitation will be Saturday, September 27, 2014 from 8:30 AM – 9:30 AM at the Ed and Don DeCarbo Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 3000 Wilmington Road. A procession will leave the funeral home at 9:30 AM for a mass of Christian burial at 10:00 AM on Saturday, September 27, 2014 at St. Camillus Church. Father Michael Peck, Pastor will officiate. Interment will be in Graceland Cemetery.
