Robert Simmons Obituary

Robert W. Simmons, 84, of East Greenville, passed away September 15, 2014. He was the beloved husband of the late Dolores E. Simmons. Born in East Greenville, he was a son of the Late Warren E. and Catherine M. (Schofer) Simmons. He served his country honorable in the Army during the Korean War. He was employed by Knoll's, Pre-Hung Door Factory, Sturgis’ Pretzel Company, Brunner's Bakery and ran his own garage. He was a member of Hosensack E.C. Church in Zionsville, East Greenville Fire Company, lifetime member of American Legion Post #184, Red Hill VFW and the Owl's in East Greenville. He is survived by his children: Carl and his wife Diane of Boyertown and Roberta Simmons and her companion Earl Clevanstine of East Greenville; his grandchildren: Stacy, wife of Josh Schmale & Kyle; siblings: Miram, wife of Robert Swinehart of Boyertown, Ruth, wife of Warren Wronowski of East Greenville, Paul and his wife Shirley of Green Lane and Mildred, wife of Norris Flexer of Emmaus; his sister in law Helen of Millerton. He was predeceased by a daughter, Janet and his brothers, Russell and Earl. Services will be held at the convenience of the family. Contributions may be made in his honor to Hosensack E.C.
