Fern Hurd

Fern Marie Hurd, age 77 of Manistee, died Saturday morning September 13, 2014 at Cedar Ridge AFC in Brethren, Michigan. She was born on December 23, 1936 in Lansing, Michigan the daughter of the late Audrey Dick & Essie Lila (Davis) Atkins. She was a 1955 graduate of J.W. Sexton High School in Lansing. Marie married Howard M. “Mick” Hurd on June 4, 1955 at the Mayflower Congregation Church in Lansing. He preceded her in death on May 22, 2013. She was a member of the Manistee United Methodist Church. She is survived by two children, Michael Roy (Julie) Hurd of Lansing and Pamela Jo Hurd of Manistee, as well as by nieces and nephews. A son, Gregory Alan Hurd, also preceded her in death. Cremation has taken place and there will be no services at this time. Final interment will take place at Evergreen Cemetery in Lansing.
