Betty Ruth Chasteen age 74 of Copper Creek Road, died suddenly at St. Joseph Berea Hospital on Wednesday September 10, 2014.

Betty was born in Lincoln County to the late Oscar and Alpha Hopkins Brock. She retired from Boone Tavern as a housekeeper.

She is survived by her husband Elmer Chasteen, her children Gary Lee Chasteen, Denise (Lonnie) Miller, Karen Gay (William) Leger and Donna (Jerry) Gray, six grandchildren Bobby Miller, Ronnie (Felicia) Miller, William A. Leger, Jessica (Jason Tackett) Baker, Stacy Chasteen and Jaime Gray, and 8 great grandchildren Andrew Miller, Nathan Miller, Rylan Miller, Myla Leger, Courtney Baker, Mason Tackett, Justin Cope and LeeAutumn Cope.

Funeral services will be 11:00 am Friday September 12, 2014 at Lakes Funeral Home in Berea with Bro. Donnie Pingleton. Visitation will be Thursday evening from 6-9 pm at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Chasteen Cemetery on Copper Creek Road.

Active pallbearers will be Jerry Gray, Nathan Miller, A.J. Miller, Ronnie Mills, William H. Leger and William A. Leger.
