Mr. Danny Ray Peavy age 61, a resident of Morton, MS passed away on Tuesday September 9, 2014 in Pelahatchie, MS. Visitation will be held on Thursday September 11, 2014 from 5:30 PM until 8:00 PM and again on Friday September 12, 2014 from 8:30 AM until 9:50 AM at Wolf Funeral Services in Morton, MS. Funeral Services will be held on Friday September 12, 2014 at 10:00 AM at Wolf Funeral Services. Burial will follow in the Morton City Cemetery in Morton, MS. Officiating will be Rev. Ted Giordano. Wolf Funeral Services in Morton, MS. will be in charge of the arrangements. Mr. Peavy was a native of Pelahatchie, MS and had lived in Morton, MS for over 40 years. He was a member of the Pelahatchie Baptist Church. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved to bird hunt. He was a 1971 graduate of Pelahatchie High School where he excelled in football and track & field and after graduation played football at Hinds Community College. He loved his dog Rowdy who went with him everywhere. He is preceded in death by his parents, Willie Ray Peavy, Carl & Imogene Brown, brother, Mike Brown. He is survived by his wife, Patsy Scales Peavy of Morton, MS.; one daughter, Bridgett Peavy Cooper and husband Chuck of Magee, MS.; one son, Jason Peavy and wife Lea Ann of Morton, MS.; one brother, Randy Peavy and wife Pat of Pelahatchie, MS.; seven grandchildren, Lyndon, Rhett, Bailey, Mackenzie, Taylor, Danni, Parker; ten nieces and nephews. Pallbearers are Bob Gray, Lyndon Giordano, Rhett Giordano, Tommy Smith, Bailey Hudson, Patrick Peavy.
