HEMSWORTH, Frank - It is with a deep sense of loss that we announce the passing of our beloved father, Frank Hemsworth, on Monday September 8th, 2014 in his 92nd year, in his room in the Veterans’ Wing at Parkwood Hospital in London, Ontario. Predeceased in 2008 by his wife of 59 years, Pauline Ruby Hemsworth (nee Allin). Dad had a profound impact on all of our lives and will be greatly missed by his three children: Kathleen “Kathy” Hill and her husband Robert , Thomas “Tom” Hemsworth and Jane Hemsworth. He was a proud and loving grandfather to Brenda Bronson (Chekotah), Crystal Jones (Ian), Kenneth Hill, Mark Hemsworth, and Melissa Hemsworth (Shawn McDonald), as well as his four precious great-grandchildren: CariAnn and Spencer Jones and Ava and Sadie McDonald. Predeceased by his sisters Ruth and Alice and his brother Dennis, he will be missed by his younger brother Harold and his wife Joyce. Born in Garforth England, Dad came to Canada as a child, and lived in the Aylmer Ontario area. He served in the RCAF in World War II, moving to Woodstock upon his return. 54 years ago, he founded Crescent Cheese, now operating as Springbank Cheese Company Ltd. Dad’s 90th birthday celebration in June of 2013 was a very special event, well attended by his immediate and extended family members, including many of his nieces and nephews and their children, as well as past and current employees, friends and neighbours. He was thrilled to have the opportunity to reconnect with many of his closest relatives on July 26 of this year at the 50th wedding anniversary celebration of his niece, Marion Jasper and her husband Leroy. Special thanks to all of the caregivers who made his life so enjoyable over the past year in the Veterans’ Wing at Parkwood Hospital. We will look forward to seeing family members, neighbours and friends at the visitation at the Brock and Visser Funeral Home, 845 Devonshire Ave., Woodstock (519-539-0004) on Friday September 12th, 2014 from 7-9 pm where the funeral service to remember and honour a dear husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, employer, colleague, neighbour and friend will be held in the chapel on Saturday September 13th 2014 at 1:00 pm.
