Tina Keen, age 42, of Rowe, Virginia, passed away Monday (September 8, 2014) in a Richlands, Virginia hospital. Born August 30, 1972 in Richlands, Virginia, she was a daughter of Gertrude Keen of Rowe, Virginia. A lifelong resident of the area, she was of the Pentecostal faith. She had formerly been employed as a mail carrier for Tru-Point Bank and had worked for Buchanan County School System as a substitute cook and custodian for many years. She was preceded in death by her special daddy, Edd Keen, paternal grandparents, George Howard and Jenny Belle Keen and maternal grandparents, John William and Ollie Street. In addition to her mother, survivors include her special mother, Beulah Dye and husband, Ralph, five sisters, Betty Sue Woodward and husband, Don of Bristol, Virginia, Margaret Blankenship and husband, Ronnie of Abingdon, Martha Campbell and husband, Arnold “Bounce”, Rita Blankenship and husband, Keith, and Diane Cook and husband, Ronnie all of Rowe, Virginia; two brothers, Frank Keen and wife, Rebal of Grundy and Joe Keen and wife, Wanda of Rowe; special friends, Shelley Stout and Billy Carol Keene; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews also survive. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM Wednesday with Rev. Troy Lester and Rev. Fairley Spencer officiating. Interment will follow in Ketron Memorial Gardens at Lebanon, Virginia. Relatives and friends will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Walter Cook, Hunter Cook, Heather Coleman, Megan Cook, Dewayne Campbell, Kandi Campbell, Gary Keen, Crystal Clevinger, Nick Keen, Kimba Keen, Brian Blankenship, April Cole, Jeff Woodward, and Jennifer Profitt.
