Dorthy Lee Baxa Dutchess, 81, of Winchester, VA died Thursday, September 4, 2014 at The Blue Ridge Hospice In Patient Care Center. Mrs. Dutchess was born June 23, 1933 in Jane Lew, WVA, the daughter of Cecil and Ada Crawford Baxa. She married Daniel Decker Duchess, Jr. on May 27, 1977 in Oakland, MD. Along with her husband, Dan, of Winchester she is survived by two sons, Ronald L. “Ron” Hamric and his wife, Michelle of Bruceton Mills, WV and Dan Hamric and his wife, Pam of Winchester, VA; four grandchildren, Karly Pritts and her husband, Nathan, Jordan Hamric, Joshua Hamric and Chelsea Hamric and one great grandchild, Heath Pritts. Dorthy worked for the J. F. Allen Company as an office administrator and accountant. She was a member of the Market Street United Methodist Church. The family will receive friends on Friday evening, September 12, 2014 from 7:00-9:00 p.m. at Jones Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 13, 2014 at Jones Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Eric Song officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Hebron Cemetery.
