Betty Catherine Fawber, 84, of Middletown, went to be with her Lord on Sunday, August 31, 2014. She was the daughter of the late Edward and Susn (Weit) Miller and loving wife of Marlin Fawber. In addition to her husband, she is survived by one son, Robert L. Cousins of Harrisburg; two daughters, Peggy S. Lego and husband Jeff of New Cumberland and Patti J. Hensley and husband Steven of Penbrook; six grandchildren and five great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by three brothers, John, George, and Edward Miller; two sisters, Susan F. “Sis” Miller and Jane Frank; and one grandson. Betty was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She spent many years not only caring for her family but as a nurse caring for others. She was employed as a nurse for Blue Ridge East and Villa Theresa Nursing Homes in Harrisburg, and Hansel and Gretel Early Learning Center. Betty along with her husband, Marlin, volunteered at their church food bank, delivered comfort and flowers to church members and delivered Meals on Wheels. Over the years Betty enjoyed family get togethers, traveling, camping, gardening, and taking care of their various farm animals. Funeral services will be held Friday, September 5, 2014 at 11 AM in the Trefz & Bowser Funeral Home, Inc., 114 West Main Street, Hummelstown, with The Rev. Dr. Darlis J. Swan, officiating. Interment will be in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, Harrisburg. A viewing will be held in the funeral home on Friday from 10 AM until the time of the services.
