Mr. Paul Darrell Cook, age 56, of the Finney section of Honaker, Virginia, passed away September 1, 2014 at his home. Born June 13, 1958 in Richlands, Virginia, he was a son of the late Edward Pershing and Mary Alice Nash Cook. A lifelong resident of the area, he was a 1976 graduate of Honaker High School. He was a member of Finney Baptist Church and had formerly been employed as a coal miner and farmer. One of his greatest joys was riding motorcycles along with Glen “Buster” Peck and other riding buddies. Survivors include his twin sister, Pamela Richardson and husband, Tom of Honaker; two brothers, Donald L. Cook and wife, Shirley of Abingdon and K.D. Cook and wife, Emalene of Lebanon, Virginia; three nephews, George Cook, Bryan Cook, and Luke Richardson; two nieces, Kim Compton and Mary Beth Cook. Graveside services will be conducted at 11:00 AM Thursday at the Russell Memorial Cemetery in Lebanon, Virginia, with Rev. Stephen Musick officiating. Interment will follow.
