Waymon Ling

Waymon A. Ling, 78, of Hereford, and formerly of Cowanesque, PA, passed away peacefully on August 28, 2014. He was the husband of the late Geraldine (Watson) Ling. Born in Wellsboro, he was a son of Waymon A. Ling Sr. and Cleo (McVannon) Ling. He served his country honorably in the Army. He was a glassworker for Corning Glass for over 30 years before retiring in 1991. He was a Lifetime member of the Glassworkers Union of North America. Waymon is survived by a son, Michael and his wife Tammie of Sabinsville, PA; two daughters, Anita, wife of Cole VanZile of Hereford, and Lisa, wife of Grantland Rice of Laughlin Air Force Base, TX; seven grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; siblings: Elaine, wife of Allen Feijo, of Nelson, PA; Donna Southland of Westfield, PA; Shirley, wife of John Taft of Tioga, PA; Patty, wife of Rick Stafford of Virginia; and Terry Southland of Tioga, PA. He was predeceased by brothers, Eugene and George. A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 PM, on Saturday, September 6, at the Cowanesque United Methodist Church, Rt. 49, Cowanesque, PA.
