Evelyn Wendling

WENDLING, Evelyn J. (Schmidt), age 96 of Vandalia, OH, peacefully passed away Thursday, August 28, 2014 at her home. Evelyn was born July 28, 1918 in Dayton, OH, daughter of the late Herman and Martha (Kurlinski) Schmidt. She was a member of St. Christopher Catholic Church and the Catholic Women's Club of Dayton. Mrs. Wendling is survived by her son, David Wendling; 2 daughters, Nancy Wendling and Barbara (Ken) Monckton; grandson, Ross Monckton; many nieces and nephews and other loving family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene Joseph Wendling and her brother John Schmidt. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11 AM Saturday, August 30, 2014 at St. Christopher Catholic Church, 435 E. National Rd., Vandalia, OH 45377, Fr. Francis Keferl celebrant. Interment Calvary Cemetery. The family will receive visitors 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Baker-Hazel & Snider Funeral Home, 5555 Philadelphia Dr., at N. Main St., Dayton, OH 45415.
