Mildred Keiter Martz, 100, of Winchester, died Tuesday, August 26, 2014 at her home. Mrs. Martz will be remembered for her generous nature, wonderful sense of humor and loving care of others. Mrs. Martz was born January 8, 1914 in Winchester; the daughter of S. Thomas Parlett and Ada Virginia Albin Parlett. She attended John Handley High School. Over her lifetime, she worked at O’Sullivan Corp., Lovett’s Dept. Store, House of Cards and Colonial Arts & Crafts. She retired in 1998 at the age of 85. She was a longtime member of Emmanuel United Methodist Church and was very active in the church and in the community. She was a member of the Martinsburg Moose Lodge for over 61 years. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Wilson W. Keiter and Gilbert Allen Martz. She was also preceded in death by a son, Ronald Lee Keiter; step son, Marvin Edgar Martz; brothers, Maurice W. Parlett and Alfred A. Parlett; and a nephew, Maurice T. Parlett. She is survived by a nephew, James W. Partlett and his wife, Serita; and nieces, Debra Ann Boyer, Patricia Lynn Partlett, Christine Lee Partlett and her partner, Cheryl Clark, and Mary Vin Sowers; her step grandchildren, Marvin Martz, Jr. and his wife, Jamie and Scott Martz and his wife, Kim; step great grandchildren, Anne Kathryn Martz, Christopher Allen Martz, Isabel Martz and Emily Martz. A funeral service will be held on Friday, August 29, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at Emmanuel United Methodist Church with Rev. Paulo C. Da Silva and Rev. Larry Clark officiating. Burial will be private. The family will receive friends on Friday from 10:00-11:00 a.m. at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to Emmanuel United Methodist Church, 2732 Martinsburg Pike, Stephenson, VA 22656 or to Woodlawn Cemetery,
