Joan A. Parr, 80, of Berne, Indiana died Tuesday, August 26, 2014 at Renaissance Village Nursing Home in Fort Wayne, IN. Joan was born on June 4, 1934 to Ira John and Audrey F. (Webb) Miller. Early in her life, she was adopted by William M. McGee. On September 4, 1953 she married Keith B. Parr. He preceded her in death on March 19, 2009. Joan was a member of Bethel Brethren Church in Berne and was a homemaker. Survivors include her son – Keith B. (Donna) Parr Jr. of Columbia City, IN; daughters Frances E. (Lorin) Brinneman and Melissa J. (Scott) Skinner both of Berne, IN; a sister Suzanne I. (Stewart) Miller of San Diego, CA; 16 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; a son Wilson M. Parr and a brother Johnny McGee. Visitation and funeral for Joan will be private per her request. Services will be officiated by Rev. Joe Nass. Burial will be in Mt. Hope cemetery, Berne. Memorials are to: American Heart Association.
