Millinocket – It is with great sadness that we say goodbye and announce the death of Terry Rogan, who passed on Friday, August 22, 2014 at the young age of 58. He was born December 8, 1955 in Houlton, the son of Shirley and Carlton Rogan. Terry grew up in Millinocket. He graduated from Stearns High School where he loved to play basketball, football, and softball. He went to work for the Great Northern Paper Company the day after he graduated and worked there his entire life. Terry coached little giant football for many years and, as he used to say, watched the young boys grow into fine men. He loved to spend time at his camp on Millinocket Lake with family and friends, swimming, playing cribbage and watching the wildlife on and off the water. He loved playing pool with his friends as well. He was a longtime member of the Millinocket Elks Lodge # 1521, B.P.O.E. His only regrets were that he would not see his eldest son marry and have children, his only daughter graduate from college with honors, and his youngest son graduate from high school. He married Kim Marie Leach in September of 1986. They were married 28 years until the Lord took him in His arms. He was predeceased by his loving mother, Shirley Rogan in November of 2009. He is survived by his father, Carlton Rogan of Millinocket; his loving wife, Kim Rogan of Millinocket; three children, Justin Rogan of Waterville, Chelsea V. Rogan of Millinocket and Connecticut, and Joshua Terry Rogan of Millinocket; a brother, Michael Scott Rogan of Millinocket; and many relatives and friends, too numerous to list. Friends are invited to visit with the family 11 A.M. – 1 P.M. Saturday, August 30 at the Lamson Funeral Home, 11 Tamarack St., Millinocket. Terry will be laid to rest beside his mother in the Benedicta Cemetery in a private ceremony for family and close friends.
