Bertha Walsh

Millinocket – Bertha Elizabeth (Myshrall) Walsh, 91 died August 19, 2014 in Millinocket. She was born in Millinocket June 6, 1923, the daughter of Albert and Catherine (Nadeau) Myshrall. “I was lucky, born of good parents who loved me so much but mostly love, which I have learned to give.” In addition to her parents Bertha was predeceased by siblings Louise, a stillborn brother, a stillborn sister, Lucy Rideout, Mildred Flanagan, Elsie Kidney, Florence Donley, Ethel Spellman, Herbert Albert, Roderick and Ralph; husband Charles “Red” Walsh; and a daughter Elizabeth “Liz” (Walsh) Frantz. She is survived by her children Peter, Patrick and wife Joyce, Shawn and wife Lisa, and Mary and fiancé Jeff Ballard; grandchildren Tammy Brown, Charlie Walsh, Rachel Casey, Evan Walsh, Krystal Walsh, and Katie Pelletier with expected great grandchild due in September. “When one door closes a window opens.” She is also survived by great grandchildren Jack, Gus and Cole Brown, Tanner Walsh, and Ashlynn Bouley. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11:00 A.M. Saturday, September 6 at St. Martin of Tours Catholic Church of Christ the Divine Mercy Parish, 19 Colby St., Millinocket, with the Rev. Joel Cyr, pastor, presider. Interment will be at Millinocket Cemetery. Gifts in memory of Bertha may be made to the Katahdin Area Support Group, P. O. Box 374, Millinocket, ME 04462. Arrangements by Lamson Funeral Home. Messages of condolence may be expressed at www.lamsonfh.com. God has been good to Me He raised me up so High! My biggest wish that I may someday Stand in His presence and He says, “Yes, you’ve fought a good fight, Come to Me.”
