Lyle Alan Maki, Age 51 of Scottville died on 8/14/2014 of injuries received in an auto accident near White Pigeon in Saint Joseph County. He was born on October 19, 1962 in Grand Rapids the son of Arnold W. Maki and the late Lola Grace (Hock) Maki. He attended Ravenna Schools and served briefly in the United States Navy. He married Kymberlee Laurn on September 13, 1997 in Spring Lake. He was employed as a machinist and bindery operator. He attended Mason County Reformed Church. An animal lover, he also enjoyed bicycling. Lyle is survived by his wife; Kymberlee Laurn Maki of Scottville, one daughter Kelli (Boro) Maki and one son; Justin Maki both of Detroit, his father; Arnold W. Maki of Ravenna, a foster-daughter; Teresa (Carlton) Rakes and their children Karissa & Nathan of Paris, MI, two brothers; George Maki of Jackson and Clint (Joann) Maki of Coppersville, one sister; Ronda Smith of Grand Rapids as well as nieces and nephews. He was also preceded in death by his twin brother; Leon Joseph Maki at birth. Funeral Services for Lyle A. Maki will be held Friday, August 22, 2014 at 11:00 AM at the Oak Grove Funeral Home & Cremation Center in Ludington with Pastor Mike Schultz officiating. Burial will be in the South Victory Township Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday from 9:00 AM until time of service.
