Albert Laurence Daniels, age 87 of Mesick, died Sunday August 17, 2014 at his home. He was born March 24, 1927 in Cadillac the son of the late John and Hazel (Husted) Daniels. He attended Cooley School. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. On April 29, 1940 Albert married Mary Scott at her family home in Keego Harbor, MI; she preceded him in death on January 3, 2012. He was employed for 42 years as a block maker with Boyce Builder Supply and was a member of the Teamsters Union. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and woodworking. Albert is survived by 4 daughters, Carolyn (Mitchell) Gerou of Blanchard, Bonnie (Ernie) Vick of Pontiac, Penny Stinson of Waterford, Tanya (Eddie) Carr of Mesick; 1 son, Scott (Lynn) Daniels of Livonia; 16 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. He was also preceded in death by 2 daughters, Elizabeth and June Daniels; 1 son, Eric Daniels; 1 sister and 6 brothers. Cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life gathering will be held on Saturday August 23, 2014 from 2-6 p.m. at Faith Lutheran Church in Mesick. Final interment will be Yuma Cemetery.
