Larry Roberson

Larry Gene Roberson, 70, passed away Tuesday, August 12, 2014, at his home in the Wyatt community of Tate County, MS. He was an active and devoted member of Wyatt Baptist Church, where he faithfully served in many capacities, including working in the nursery and as a greeter. Mr. Roberson was a former landscape supervisor at Baddour Center in Senatobia, MS, where he was loved by his many special friends. He was also a farmer who loved his cows and horses and an avid outdoorsman, who enjoyed fishing and coon hunting. Mr. Roberson is survived by his wife, Barbara J. Rowland Roberson of Wyatt; one daughter, Debra Roberson Dancy (Jeremy) of Eudora; one son, James Michael Stimpson (Rae Ann) of Millington, TN; four sisters, Sally Lou Brown, Nita Cooper Willie Ferguson of Batesville, MS and Beverly Clanton of Nesbit, MS; three brothers, Robert Roberson of Bett Community, Lester Roberson of Independence, MS and Wayne Roberson of Arkabutla, MS; four grandchildren, Hunter Jones, Taylor Dancy, Lynsie Dancy, and Kelsey Rae Stimpson. He was preceded in death by his parents, John Thomas Roberson and Anna Lou Holden Roberson; four sisters and two brothers. Memorial contributions may be sent to Wyatt Baptist Church Building Fund. Ray-Nowell Funeral Home – Senatobia Chapel has charge of arrangements.
