Robert Jackson, Jr. went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, August 7, 2014. Robert was born August 21, 1931 in Charleston, WV to Robert Jackson, Sr. and Blanche Updike. After the death of his father he was raised by his stepfather, Sterling Long, Sr. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean conflict. Robert retired from Smoot Construction Company after 35 years. He is preceded in death by brothers, James Jackson and Sterling Long, Jr. He leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Grace; children, Robert III, Karen, Sabrina, Prince and Kevin Jackson all of Ohio, and Tawanna of Florida; siblings, Paul (Loretta) Jackson, Jacqueline Burton both of WV and Nathan (Jackie) Long of Ohio; and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren , nieces, nephews, and five step children all of WV.
