With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of James Rudyk, our dear husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. Peacefully in his sleep at Chester Village Long Term Care on Thursday August 7, 2014, in his 92nd year. Loving husband of Jennie for 67 years. Adored father of Cheryl (the late Wally) Kopko, and Debbie (Jack) Tammela. Cherished Gigi of Bannon (Kirsten), John (Allie), and Kirsten, and O'Gigi of Audrina, Addison, and Berkeley. Dear brother of Bill (Marge), Alice (the late Morris) Mycan, Eugene, and the late Peter (Mary). James will be sadly missed by his many nieces, nephews, family and friends. Special thank you to all the caregivers at Chester Village including: Cecilia, Lorna, Sophie, Agnes, Krizia, and Vida. Resting at NEWEDIUK FUNERAL HOME, KIPLING CHAPEL, 2058 Kipling Avenue, (North of Rexdale Blvd.), on Sunday August 10, 2014 from 2pm to 4pm and 7pm to 9pm. Panakhyda (Prayers) Sunday 7:30pm. Funeral Service in the chapel on Monday August 11, 2014 at 10am. Interment at Holy Cross Cemetery, Thornhill, with reception to follow.
