Mr. Clifford Wayne Miller, age 87, of Orlando, Florida passed away Friday (August 1, 2014) at Manor Care Hospice Facility in Winter Park, Florida. Born July 27, 1927 in Finney, Virginia, he was a son of the late Ferd Ellis Miller, Sr. and Lucy Compton Buskill. He attended Honaker High School and later received a certificate in Electrical Engineering from Coyne Electric School in Chicago, Illinois. Clifford served his country proudly during World War II as a Corporal in the 1391st Army Air Force Base Unit as an Air Force Supply Technician, stationed in The Azores. He was employed as an electrical engineer for Verizon Telephone until his retirement. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his step-father, George Earl Buskill; one sister, Eula Gay Meldrum; two brothers, Leonard Miller and Ferd Ellis Miller, Jr. Survivors include his special lifelong friend, Bettie S. Mills; two sisters, Nadine Nordham and Linda Murray and husband, Jim; two brothers, Glen Buskill and Larry G. Miller and wife, Doris; several nieces, nephews and cousins also survive. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 AM Thursday in the Honaker Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Stephen Musick officiating. Interment will follow in the Russell Memorial Cemetery in Lebanon, Virginia. Pallbearers will be Larry Miller, David Miller, Clifford A. Miller, Clifford A. Miller, II, Gary Cook and Jeremy Cook.
