Glenna Sue Cantrell Mullins Rowland, 136 Jackson Love Circle, Erwin passed Sunday, August 3, 2014 in the Johnson City Medical Center Hospital following a brief battle with cancer. She was a lifelong resident of Erwin and a daughter of the late James and Media Metcalf Cantrell. Mrs. Rowland was a homemaker. She attended Trinity Free Will Baptist Church. Mrs. Rowland was preceded in death by her first husband, Ronald Lee Mullins in 2001; five brothers: J.P., Guylee, Daniel, Floyd, and Boyd Cantrell,three sisters: Chassie Hurley, Pearl Greer, and Betty Griffith. Mrs. Rowland is survived by her devoted husband, Doug Rowland; two sisters: Shirley Cantrell, and husband Dennis, Madison Co., NC; Mildred Duncan, Erwin, one brother, Howard "Earlie" Cantrell, Johnson City, and numerous nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral service for Mrs. Rowland will be held Thursday, August 7, 2014 at 2:00 pm from the Robert Ledford Funeral Home Chapel. Pastor Andy Patterson and Reverend Bernie Jones will officiate. Special music will be provided by brother Patterson and his wife, Charity. Pallbearers will be members of Trinity Free Will Baptist Church. The family of Mrs. Rowland will receive friends prior to the funeral service between the hours of 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm. The committal will be in Evergreen Cemetery immediately following the funeral service.
