Carl L. Robinson, 77, of Decatur, IN died on Sunday, August 3, 2014 at his residence. Carl was born in Portland, IN on January 12, 1937 to the late John S. and Violet V. (Arnett) Robinson. On December 1, 1956 he married Donna M. Trammel. Carl was a mechanic and served in the United States Air Force. He was awarded The Air Force Commendation Medal for Meritorious Service for significant contributions to the improvement in maintenance of the wing's mission. He was honorably discharged with the rank of Staff Sargent. Survivors include his wife Donna M. Robinson of Decatur; two sons Steve C. Robinson of Decatur and Rob L. “Butch” Robinson of Huntertown, IN; two daughters Carrie D. Robinson of Decatur and Pam K. (Robin) Bower of Ft. Wayne, IN; three brothers Johnnie Robinson and Jack Robinson both of Ft. Wayne and Royal Robinson of North Carolina; 6 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a sister Carolyn Shugart. Funeral service will be at Noon on Wednesday, August 6, 2014 at Haggard-Sefton & Hirschy Funeral Home with calling prior from 10:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. Burial will be in Decatur Cemetery with Military graveside rites by American Legion Post 43. Memorials are to Tri-County Dialysis-Decatur.
