Mr. Walter C. McKinley Sr., son of the late William and Maude Fairfax McKinley, was born June 9, 1924 in Chillicothe, Ohio. He was called peacefully to eternal rest on Monday, July 28, 2014, surrounded by loving wife and family. In addition to Walter's parents, he was preceded in death by his father-in-law and mother-in-law Adolph and Bessie Brown, brothers Floyd McKinley, William (Frances) McKinley, Edward (Sharlene) McKinley, sisters Mildred (Harold) Dennis, Dorothy (Cecil) Louthery, sons-in-law Steven Crockett and Adam Jones, grandson Jacob Woody and great-great-grandson Jaylen McKinley. He leaves to cherish his memory, his loving wife of 68 years, Elvera M. McKinley; children, Walter (Terri) McKinley Jr., Gary (Leslie) McKinley, Gloria (Edward) Folds, William (Theresa) McKinley, Rev. John (Rosemary) McKinley, Rev. Charlotte (Thomas) Hargrove, Frances Crockett, Kenneth (Annette) McKinley, Elvera Woody, Veronica (John) Scott, Marcia Jones, Pastor Brian (Constance) McKinley; sisters-in-law, Rachel (Elmer) Stokes and Armenta White; 52 grandchildren; 85 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; and a host of nephews, nieces, and friends.
