Marie Robinette

Mrs. Marie Ella Boyd Robinette, age 80, of Swords Creek, Virginia, went to be with the Lord Sunday (July 27, 2014) at her home. Born October 4, 1933 in Richlands, Virginia, she was a daughter of the late Woodrow and Rachel Viola Sparks Boyd. A lifelong resident of the area, she was a member of Pine Creek Holiness Church and enjoyed going to the lake. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Robinette, two infant children, Wanda Sue Robinette and Gary Woody Robinette, one sister, Dulcie Whited, and one brother, Harl Boyd. Survivors include one daughter, Diane Lester and husband, Lonnie of Pine Creek; one son, Wayne Robinette and wife, Judy of Pine Creek; three grandchildren, Brian Robinette and wife, Melissa of Claypool Hill, David Robinette of Pine Creek, and Amanda Dye and husband, Thomas of Pounding Mill; two great-grandchildren, Nathan Dye and Michael Walker; three step-great-grandchildren, Justin, Olivia, and Nick Dye; special friend, Misty Roberts; lifelong friend, Lillian Miller; several nieces and nephews also survive. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Jean Baldwin, Judy Boyd, Jerri Clark, Helping Hands Hospice, and her CNA, Teresa. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM Tuesday in the Honaker Funeral Home Chapel, Honaker, Virginia with Rev. Jim Richardson, Rev. Dallas Hubbard, and Rev. Ed Hubbard officiating. Interment will follow in the Richardson Cemetery at the Pine Creek section of Swords Creek, Virginia. Pallbearers will be David Robinette, Brian Robinette, Tony Burkett, Bill Whited, Raleigh Whited, and Thomas Dye. Honorary pallbearers will be Daniel Baldwin, Terry Hollaway, Kevin Roberts, and the Men of Pine Creek Holiness Church. Flower girls will be Amanda Dye, Melissa Robinette, and Misty Roberts.
