Vera Windham

Mrs. Vera Windham age 85, a resident of Forest passed away Thursday July 24, 2014 at Lackey Memorial Hospital in Forest, MS. Visitation will be held on Monday July 28, 2014 from 10:00 AM until 10:50 AM at the Forest United Methodist Church in Forest, MS. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM at the Forest United Methodist Church. Burial will follow in the Antioch-Steele Cemetery in Forest, MS. Officiating will be Rev. Trey Harper. Wolf Funeral Services in Lake, MS will be in charge of the arrangements. Mrs. Windham was a lifelong resident of Scott County, MS. She was a member of the Forest United Methodist Church and a member of the Luther E. Tadlock Sunday School Class. She loved spending time with her family, cooking and gardening. Mrs. Windham is preceded in death by her parents, Neal and Alma Smith, one daughter, Brenda Sue McCune, one brother, Ralph Smith, one sister, Cornealious Driskell. She is survived by her husband of 68 years, K.J. Windham of Forest, MS.; three daughters, Joan Calvery and husband Bobby of Greenwell Springs, LA.; Fredna Windham of Madison, MS.; Dean Walters of Forest, MS.; one son, Ken Windham of Forest, MS.; one sister, Helen McCarty and husband John of Harperville, MS.; nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Pallbearers are Phillip Windham, Neal Chesnut, Lynn Chesnut, Stephen Calvery, Sean Franklin and Justin Calvery.
