Stephenson, William (Bill) Douglas Passed peacefully on Tuesday, July 22, 2014 surrounded by his family. Bill is survived by his loving wife Louise of 66 years, and his five children. Loving father of Ron (Gail), Terry (Freda), Doug (Sue), Pam (Ed) and Julie (Peter). Proud Poppa of 11 grandchildren, Carey (Brenden), Michael (Becky), James, Melissa, William, Robert, Daniel, Griffin & Samantha, Max (Christine), Nicole and great grandchildren Ashleigh and Marcus. Devoted Brother to Gerry (Lois)‎. Loving son of the late Heber James and Lillian Stephenson. Bill was a caring father and respected journalist/broadcaster who will be deeply missed by all those fortunate enough to have known him. His passion for sports quickly lead him to a successful broadcasting career first as sports director of CKWX in Vancouver and then as Sports Director of CFRB in Toronto for over 40 years. He made many friends from all walks of life and a charitable man who supported many charities. A celebration of Bill's life will held Saturday, July 26th from 1 to 4 pm in the Chapel of St. John’s Dixie, 737 Dundas Street East, Mississauga where friends are welcome to share in Bill's life.
