William Smart, 82, of Pearson St passed away the morning of July 21, 2014 at his residence. Born on May 18, 1932 in Butler, PA, he was the son of the late Harlen and Mabel Crawford Smart. Also preceding him in death is his beloved wife, the former Margaret Donaldson, who passed away in 1998.

William retired from his job as a laborer for Bessemer Cement Company. He was a member of the Wabash Bears Bowling League. An avid outdoorsman, William belonged to the Rod and Gun Club and the Coon and Fox Club and loved to take walks.

William is survived by his children, Susan Romeo and husband Gary of Edinburg, PA, Eleanor Scheib and husband Eric of Garland, NC, William Smart, Jr. and wife Rose of Beaver, PA, and Randall Smart of Las Vegas, NV; brother, Donald Smart of Glendora, CA; sister, Doreen Cassidy of New Jersey; caregiver, Donna Haskin; eight grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents and wife, he is preceded in death by his brother, Randall Smart.

Friends and family will be received Thursday between 4:00pm and 6:00pm for a Celebration of Life Gathering at Solid Rock Ministries 303 Pearson St, officiated by Rev. Eddie Gresick.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Ed and Don DeCarbo Funeral Home and Crematory 941 S Mill St.
